Rim Cylinders
Rim Cylinders are often used for low-security installations and older residential properties. While these locks can conform to BS 3621, Insurance companies will often insist on a Mortice lock in addition, because Rim Cylinders have a low security rating.

A Nightlatch must be present on the back of the door; otherwise the locking catch can be bypassed very easily. Rim Cylinders are sometimes erroneously referred to as “Yale Locks”, as Yale is the biggest manufacturer of the locks, however, other companies do manufacture them.

Like Rim Locks above, these doors are vulnerable to break-ins if not supplemented with additional security.

Dartford high security lock services

For Dartford commercial premises, we can install door bolts, combination locks and change manual shutter lock barrels. For all our Dartford customers, we can change door and window handles. All locks supplied come with 2 keys; however, more can be supplied on request, for a small fee.
